SIOUX CITY | A Sioux City man is accused of kicking his girlfriend in the face, causing serious damage. 

Lavell Taylor, 25, has been charged with a felony count of willful injury causing serious injury.

Police in court documents said Taylor kicked his girlfriend in the face Sunday in the 1600 block of 26th Street. Investigators said the impact shattered the woman's right orbital socket.

Taylor was being held at the Woodbury County Jail on $10,000 bail Tuesday. His next court hearing is Nov. 21. -- Molly Montag
