ORANGE CITY, Iowa | A Sioux Falls man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine.
A Sioux County District Court jury found Benjamin Dejesus-Cruz, 34, guilty of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and operating while intoxicated. He received a two-day jail sentence for the OWI charge.
Dejesus-Cruz was arrested June 25 after police received numerous reports of an erratic driver. Reports included a person driving backward across a residential lawn and an incident in which an unidentified male walked into an occupied home and began to look around.
Police found 6 ounces of meth and cocaine inside Dejesus-Cruz' vehicle.
