SIOUX CITY | The Storm Lake Police Department on Friday announced the felony arrest of 10 people, as part of a yearlong investigation named Operation Winter Blues.

A police department release said the arrests were made in recent weeks in the endeavor to find illegal and prescription drug sales in Storm Lake.

The arrests came after many hours of surveillance and seizures of drugs. The police department was aided in some of the arrests by the Buena Vista and Cherokee county sheriff departments.

Police said those arrested and the felony charges since Nov. 28 included:

-- Yuna Nyama, 20, of Storm Lake, Gathering Where Methamphetamine Is Used.

-- Fernando Veliz, 41, of Storm Lake, Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.

-- Jesus Diaz, 20, of Storm Lake, Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Deliver.

-- Kang Char, 24, of Alta, Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana.

-- Nyadil Deng, 21, of Alta, Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana.

-- Zachary Kraft, 24, of Storm Lake, Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.

-- Jonaz Maldonado, 20, of Alta, Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.

-- Lisa Snedeker, 33, of Storm Lake, Delivery of a Class II Controlled Substance (prescription drugs).

-- Judy Snedeker, 57, of Storm Lake, Conspiracy to Deliver Class II Controlled Substances.

-- Chan Khaoorn, 34, of Storm Lake, Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.
