STORM LAKE, Iowa | A Storm Lake man recently released from the Buena Vista County Jail now faces a felony gun possession charge, police said.
Tony Lee, 54, was released on bond Nov. 6 after being charged with five felony counts of non-consensual termination of pregnancy, two felony counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of misdemeanor aggravated sexual assault.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Lee had obtained a .22-caliber rifle and ammunition, Storm Lake police said in a release.
A no-contact order issued Oct. 3 bars Lee from owning firearms, the release said.
At 1 p.m. Thursday, police searched Lee’s residence in the 700 block of Ostego Street and seized .22-caliber ammunition, the release said. The rifle was found later in the day at a residence in the 600 block of West Eighth Street.
Lee was arrested without incident, the release said.
He is charged with felony possession of a firearm and was being held Friday in the Buena Vista County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
