STORM LAKE, Iowa | A Storm Lake man has been charged with 22 aggravated misdemeanor counts of exploitation of a minor after police found videos of children engaged in sex.
The Iowa Department of Human Services advised Storm Lake police that they had received a child endangerment allegation at 720 Hudson St. on Jan. 16. The allegation was that the husband of a babysitter had allowed a 3-year-old child to view pornographic material at the residence.
Noe Casco, 58, was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
After investigators executed a search warrant on Casco's home on Jan. 19, they seized computers and computer-related equipment. Some of the computer equipment has been transferred to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) for forensic analysis.
Storm Lake police are continuing to review flash drive storage that was seized Jan. 2 that allegedly contained videotaped images of at least 22 unidentified minor children, between the ages of 3 and 17, engaged in sexual activity.
Investigators believe that the images were downloaded and not videotaped by the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing, police say, and additional charges are possible.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Iowa DCI and the Iowa Department of Human Services.
