SIOUX CITY | A Sioux City man is being held without bail at the Woodbury County Jail, after being charged in a robbery that occurred near 14th and Pierce streets Sunday night.
Isiac J. Brown, 35, was charged with robbery in the first degree, a class B felony.
According to a news release, the victim was traveling west on 14th Street Sunday night. When he stopped for a red light at the intersection of 14th and Pierce, he said a male subject approached his vehicle and got into the passenger seat.
The suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim, demanding him to drive. While the victim was forced to drive around with the suspect, the suspect robbed the victim of his wallet that contained approximately $300 along with some personal documents.
The victim gave a detailed description of the suspect from the robbery that occurred at approximately 9:38 p.m. Sunday.
During a routine patrol at 1:50 a.m. Monday, Sioux City Police observed a person matching the suspect's description. The suspect reportedly took off by foot when he saw the patrol car. Officers searched the area with a police dog, locating the suspect shortly thereafter.
Police found a wallet containing a Social Security card and other documents belonging to the victim in Brown's pocket.
