SIOUX CITY — Greg Redden of Sioux City led authorities on a short pursuit through Sioux City Sunday afternoon that resulted in minor injuries for two local deputies.

Woodbury County Sheriff's Office Maj. Todd Wieck said a car driven by a deputy, who was joined by a reserve deputy, began pursuing the 36-year-old on Highway 20/Gordon Drive.

He led them on a short chase that cut through downtown Sioux City over to the west side of town where at one point Redden did a U-turn and crashed into the county-owned vehicle.

Both deputies in the car were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and released.

The pursuit came to an end near 14th and Center streets. Redden was arrested on the scene and booked into the Woodbury County Jail.

Some of his charges including operating while intoxicated, second offense; criminal mischief; eluding; aggravated assault on a police officer; and reckless driving, and his bond is set at $75,000.

The incident is still under investigation.
