STORM LAKE, Iowa --  Two Storm Lake men face felony charges following a disturbance Saturday at El Mariachi's Dance Club.

Upon arriving at the 523 Erie St. nightclub, police were told three patrons had allegedly assaulted a dance club employee, causing injuries to the employee's face and head. In addition, one of the patrons broke a plate glass window, causing $2,200 in estimated damage.

All three suspects had fled before the arrival of police.

The injured employee was transported by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for serious injuries to his face. 

At about 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police observed Fabian Luna, 25, in the 200 block of West Seventh Street. Alleging he was intoxicated and had injuries to his knuckles, police arrested Luna, charging him with assault causing serious injury and criminal mischief in the second degree (both class D felonies), public intoxication (serious misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct (simple misdemeanor). 

At 10 p.m. Sunday, a second suspect, Jesus Isai Diaz, 20, was arrested at a residence at 219 W. Seventh St. Diaz was charged with assault causing bodily injury (class D felony) and disorderly conduct (simple misdemeanor).

Both men were booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

Police are seeking a third suspect in the incident.
