Sioux City firefighters clean up debris left by a deer that crashed through the the exterior window of Rebos, 1101 Fourth St., on Wednesday. The deer rammed through an outer pane of glass but didn't enter the restaurant.

SIOUX CITY | A 4-point buck crashed through the window of an Historic Fourth Street eatery Wednesday afternoon. No one was hurt.

The deer rammed through the exterior glass of a double-paned window window of Rebos, 1101 Fourth St., at about 2 p.m.

The interior window didn't break and the deer didn't get into the restaurant. Sioux City Animal Control took the badly wounded deer. It was euthanized.

Firefighters swept up glass and sprayed off the sidewalk.

“It’s not uncommon to see deer downtown, especially in that area, because they follow the Floyd River,” said Animal Control Officer Kenna Anderson.
