Bishop Heelan homecoming 2017

The 2017 Bishop Heelan High School homecoming King and Queen announced at Friday’s assembly are Adrian Aleman, son of Nora and Jesus Aleman, and Jimena de los Santos, daughter of Elizabeth and Silverio de los Santos.

SIOUX CITY | Bishop Heelan High School is celebrating homecoming week through Saturday, with the theme of "Arabian Nights" for 2017.

The homecoming coronation and parade took place midday Friday. The homecoming king was Adrian Aleman, son of Nora and Jesus Aleman, and the queen was Jimena de los Santos, daughter of Elizabeth and Silverio de los Santos.

The parade marshals were 1950 and 1955 Heelan graduates Frank and Mary Ann Audino.

The homecoming football game is at 7 p.m. Friday, when the Crusaders host Storm lake at Memorial Field.

The homecoming dance will take place the Sioux City Convention Center at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The candidates for Homecoming Queen were: Yetunde Ayodele, daughter of Dayo and Raimi Ayodele; Carolyn Halbur, daughter of Johanna and Greg Halbur; Libby Markham, daughter of Chad and Michelle Markham; and Maggie Moeller, daughter of Richard and Denise Moeller.

The candidates for Homecoming King were: Jake Brown, son of Samantha and Patrick Brown; Jack Eastman, son of Dr. Paul and Marilyn Eastman; John Paul Keane, son of Kevin Keane and Julie Keane; and Miles Patton, son of Miles and Roxane Patton.
