SIOUX CITY | Democratic governor candidate Fred Hubbell will hold four Siouxland campaign events on Thursday, then hold more on Friday in Northwest Iowa.
Hubbell has begun a four-day campaign, 16-event swing called Putting People First.
The Thursday events will be held at 1 p.m. at Family Table Restaurant, 745 N Second St., in Cherokee; at 2:30 p.m. at Old Town Vineyard, 512 Father Dailey Drive, in Ida Grove; at 5 p.m. at the John Peirce Mansion, 2901 Jackson St., in Sioux City; and at 7:30 p.m. at Lally’s Restaurant, 125 Plymouth St. NE, in Le Mars.
On Friday, Hubbell will hold meet-and-greet events at 10 a.m. at Cook’s Cafe, 207 Eighth St., Sheldon; at noon at Bear Coffee Shop & Wine Bar, 24 W. Park St., in Spencer; and at 1:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Fillenwarth Resort, 87 Lakeshore Drive, in Arnolds Park.
Hubbell is a philanthropist who has been involved in multiple business ventures in Iowa, including life insurance and retail firms.
He is one of seven Democratic candidates running for governor. A June 5 primary election will determine the Democratic Party nominee and the general election will be held Nov. 6.
