SIOUX CITY | Incumbents Alex Watters and Dan Moore have received endorsements from the Iowa Federation of Labor ahead of Tuesday's Sioux City Council election.
A news release sent by the federation detailed the two candidates as the recipients of the endorsement, voted on by the four Iowa Area Labor Federations, their chapters and delegates from local unions.
To receive the endorsement, candidates fill out questionnaires and may be interviewed, the release said.
Moore and Watters are among six candidates vying for three open seats on the council. Fellow incumbent Pete Groetken and challengers Quinn, Jake Jungers and Doug Waples are also running.
