SIOUX CITY | Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for the Girls Inc. fundraiser featuring award-winning TV late night show host Jay Leno.
Leno will appear at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Orpheum Theatre, 528 Pierce St.
He hosted NBC's late-night talk show "The Tonight Show" for more than two decades before retiring in February. He was replaced by former "Saturday Night Live" star Jimmy Fallon.
Leno recently was installed in the Television Academy's Broadcast Hall of Fame. He also was awarded the prestigious Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize for Humor.
Previous signature concerts featured performers such as Wayne Newton, Tony Bennett, Olivia Newton-John and Frankie Valli.
The 10th anniversary benefit benefits the girls at Girls, Inc., 500 Main St., and will provided continuous quality programs and activities throughout the year.
For the past 28 years, Girls Inc. of Sioux City has been the premier Siouxland organization for girls, serving as an enriching, educational, safe and fun place to learn and grow. Programs in six different subject areas are offered annually to girls from ages 6 to 18.
