SIOUX CITY | "Korea Remembered," a photo exhibit honoring Siouxland veterans of the Korean War, will open Friday at the Betty Strong Encounter Center in partnership with the Sioux City Journal.
The exhibit will open with a 2 p.m. program. Admission is free, and a reception will take place after the program at the encounter center, adjacent to the Sioux City Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center on the Missouri Riverfront at exit 149 off of Interstate 29.
The exhibit is the culmination of The Journal's 20-part series: "Korea: Forgotten war remembered," which began in October. The series of stories written by Journal reporters featured Korean War veterans and includes portraits by Journal photographers.
Consisting of those portraits and text taken from the stories, the exhibit will run through May 28.
