SIOUX CITY -- A 30-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning on felony controlled substance violations.
Thomas Powell, listed in court documents as a transient, was driving his 1999 Ford Contour on the 200 block of Jackson Street shortly after midnight Tuesday, when he was pulled over with expired vehicle registration.
His vehicle had a marijuana odor, and officers conducted a search. They found several items that Powell later admitted were to be used to produce methamphetamine, including 105 pseudoephedrine pills and eight lithium batteries.
Powell also had 1.46 grams of powder on him, which tested positive for meth.
He was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on $25,000 bond, on charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of precursors of meth, driving with a suspended drivers license, driving with expired registration and driving without insurance.
