Anita Mae Paulsen, 76, of South Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Private family burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery at Pender, Neb. Visitation with the family present will begin 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Anita was born on June 10, 1941, in Carroll, Neb., the daughter of Rudolph and Alta (Blecke) Lorenzen. She married Lester Paulsen on Dec. 17, 1961. They were blessed with four children.
Anita loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Tom) McKenzie of Sioux City, Larry (Melodie) Paulsen of Rapid City, S.D., David Paulsen of South Sioux City, and Linda (John) Lukecart of Omaha; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna (Merle) Roeber of Wayne, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Paulsen; her parents; a brother; and a grandson.
