SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Ardith E. Robinson 81, of South Sioux City passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at a South Sioux City care center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Neal Anthony of Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca, Neb. officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Allen, Neb. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Ardith was born July 10, 1929, in Climbing Hill, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Leona (Willard) Fuller. She moved to Sloan, Iowa, where she received her education.

She moved to Sioux City in the mid 1940s, where she met and married Arnold L. Robinson on Feb. 7, 1948. Then in 1956 the couple moved to South Sioux City. She retired from Aalfs Manufacturing in 1993.

The couple spent winters in Texas, where she enjoyed fishing, bird watching and traveling. In the summer, she stayed with her children in Nebraska.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold; two sons, Robert and wife, Kathleen of Ponca, Calvin and wife, Patricia of Dixon, Neb.; two daughters, Linda Hovde and Cheryl Cale, both of South Sioux City; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ila Raynor of Jackson, Neb., and Velma Vanderpool of Wilder, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leona (Willard) Fuller; two sisters, Darlene Smith and Lorraine Adams; and a brother, Donald Fuller.

Pallbearers will be Chad Rahn, Jason Cale, Kelly Robinson, Dustin and Jeremy Cale, Jeffery Robinson and Gayland Stokes, Jr.
