SIOUX CITY | E. Margaret (Pedersen) Boe, 94, of Downers Grove, Ill., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.

Private graveside services will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Margaret was born in Sioux City, on Nov. 7, 1917. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1935. Margaret continued her education by attending the National Business Training School and Western Iowa Tech Community College.

She married Anthony "Tony" Boe in Albany, Ore., on Jan. 2, 1943. Margaret was employed as an office nurse for a local dermatologist and was the secretary/bookkeeper for Carpenter's Local 948 for 12 years.

She was a proud member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rodriquez of Downers Grove, Ill.; a son, Gary Boe of Omaha; a grandson, Michael Mertz; and great-grandsons, Colton Johnson and Addison Mertz.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; a sister, Lillian Luebben; and a granddaughter, Christy Johnson.
