Ronald H. Meis, 72, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Granville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peters Catholic Church, 1 Bluff St., in Council Bluffs. Inurnment will be in Omaha National Cemetery. There will be a vigil service at 5:30 p.m. today, followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs.
He was born in Granville, on April 22, 1945, to the late Ray and Catherine (Nilles) Meis. After high school, Ronald proudly served his country and had last worked at River City Barricade.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosemary Meis; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Tracy Meis, and Robby and Connie Meis; siblings, Bill Meis (Marian), Ken Meis (Suzi), Mary Koob, and Tommy Meis; grandchildren, Elsy, Levi, Kenley, Piper and Preston; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Meis.
