Virginia "Jeannie" Bishop, 80, of South Sioux City, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Matney's Colonial Manor in South Sioux City.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mohr Funeral Home of South Sioux City. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Virginia "Jeannie" was born on April 7, 1937, in Alcester, S.D., the daughter of Robert and Rosella (Blomberg) White. She grew up in Hawarden, Iowa, graduating from Hawarden High School. Over the years, Jeannie lived in Sioux City, Indiana, California, South Dakota and finally South Sioux City in the late 1970s. She worked as a bartender throughout the Siouxland area.
Jeannie enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading.
Survivors include three children, Ronda Blank of South Sioux City, Kim (Bob) Kneifl of Ponca, Neb., and Michael Fritsen of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
