SIOUX CITY | Wesley Harry Smith, 46, of Sioux City passed away following a brief illness Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Wesley Harry Smith was born on Sept. 3, 1967, in Sioux City, the son of Ronald and Anne (Smith) Smith. Wesley graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1987. He received his associate degree in drafting from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1990. He was employed as a draftsman with Besser Company in Sioux City.

In his free time, he enjoyed working on stain glass, camping, photography, cooking, his cat, and spending time with his nephews and family. He loved his career as a draftsman. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his parents; a sister, LaDonna Shumansky and her husband, Scott of Sioux City; and two nephews, Bryan and Austin, both of Sioux City.

He will be deeply missed. Wesley left us all with great memories.
