NORTH SIOUX CITY | Nearly 400 MidAmerican Energy customers in North Sioux City were without power Tuesday after a breaker was opened early in the morning.
At about 6:33 a.m., the open breaker left 379 customers without power. Power was restored to all but 12 of them by 10 a.m. The remaining customers had power restored by 4:15 p.m., said Tina Potthoff, Mid American communications director.
Potthoff said crews had to repair an arrestor, a device that protects equipment from lightning and high voltage.
