STORM LAKE | A Storm Lake resident remained jailed Friday after assaulting a woman in a restaurant parking lot, police said. Police said it stemmed from a traffic accident.
Sanjuana Ibarra Sanchez, 48, was charged with felony burglary and assault.
The confrontation was at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the lot of El Mexicano II, 1509 N. Lake Ave., following a minor traffic accident, Storm Lake police said in a statement.
Sanchez hit the driver in the face several times through the vehicle’s window, police said. She turned herself into the Buena Vista County Jail at noon Thursday, police said.
An investigation later found that Sanchez also was using a false identity to work at Kings Pointe Resort in Storm Lake, police said. She was charged with felony identity theft and forgery. She is jailed on $10,000 bond.
