ORANGE CITY, Iowa | A wanted woman was arrested Wednesday morning after authorities heard she was at a church event in Orange City.
The Sioux County Sheriff's Office said they received an anonymous tip that Kami Schiebout, 38, was at the First Reform Church, 420 Central Ave. NW, and the tipster believed there was a warrant out for her arrest.
When deputies arrived, they confirmed there was an outstanding warrant and Schiebout was arrested at 9:22 a.m. The department said authorities executed a search warrant on her purse and found marijuana, meth and drug paraphernalia.
Schiebout, of Sioux Center, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and intent to deliver.
The Orange City Police Department and the sheriff's K9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
The sheriff's office did not specify what Schiebout was wanted for.
