VERMILLION, S.D. | Six months after a Sioux City woman was found dead in rural South Dakota, authorities are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the homicide case.
Investigators found Alicia Hummel, 29, on June 1 near a boat dock at Myron Grove, also known as the Highline Area of Clay County. It’s a remote area along the Missouri River about seven miles west of Vermillion.
A final autopsy report indicated Hummel died from drowning, a cut to the neck and blunt force trauma to the head, according to the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
