SIOUX CITY | Sioux City's Downtown for the Holidays will be Nov. 22. In a change from past years, this year's event will be on a Sunday.
The lights parade starts at 6:15 p.m. on Fourth and Iowa streets. It will be presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #231.
Businesses, organizations and other groups are encouraged to participate in the parade. There is no cost to enter, and a cash prizes up to $150 are available.
To participate in the parade, call 712-252-0014 or go online to downtownsiouxcity.com. The deadline to register is Nov. 16.
Before the parade, West Middle School students will present a light and music show at Fourth and Nebraska streets.
Santa Claus will appear at 7 p.m. in the Howard Johnson hotel atrium at 705 Fourth Street.
