SIOUX CITY | Two cold days are at hand in Siouxland, but temperatures will rise for the weekend and beyond.

The forecast by the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls for Sioux City lays out the likelihood of limited precipitation through Monday. There is a 20 percent chance of rain or a wintry mix for Saturday night.

Temperatures were above 50 degrees Wednesday, so the cooling is a weather pivot. The forecast high for Thursday is for 31 degrees, then temperatures will plunge to 15 degrees Friday morning, before rebounding to 36 degrees, on a party sunny and breezy day.

The forecast high for Saturday is 48 on a party cloudy day. The skies become clearer on Sunday and Monday, when the predicted highs will be 43 degrees and 52 degrees, respectively.

Sioux City high temperatures will then remain in the low-to-mid 50s into the middle of the week.
