DAKOTA DUNES | One of Siouxland’s oldest financial institutions is branching out.
Pioneer Bank plans to open a new bank in Dakota Dunes, the Sioux City-based bank announced Tuesday. The new branch will be located at the corner of Sioux Point Road and Courtyard Drive.
The full-service office will offer checking, savings, certificates of deposits, individual retirement accounts, safe deposit boxes, a 24-hour ATM, mortgage, personal and commercial loans and investment services through a licensed investment broker. Insurance services also will also be offered.
Construction on the new office started this week. Work will include a significant remodel and build-out, opening the end of the existing building to accommodate two drive-up teller lanes and modifying the street access to provide easy access to the drive-thru.
Pioneer, founded more than 110 years ago, is opening its first bank in South Dakota. The locally-owned financial institution also has offices in Salix, Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff.
