MISSION, S.D. (AP) - A tornado, strong winds and hail damaged homes and caused power outages on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in south central South Dakota.
Rosebud Sioux Police Chief Grace Her Many Horses says no one was hurt during the bad weather late Sunday.
The chief says the main damage was to house roofs and to power poles and lines in the Sicangu (see-CHUHN'-goo) housing area close to the Rosebud Casino, which is near the Nebraska border. Power outages affected a mobile home park and the casino for a time. A grass fire also started near the casino but caused no damage.
