Crash

A woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Nebraska and 24th streets. Sioux City Fire Rescue had to free the woman from the vehicle in which she was a passenger.

SIOUX CITY | A woman was injured Friday afternoon when the vehicle in which she was riding was hit by vehicle that apparently ran a stop sign.

John Cowley and his wife, Judy Cowley were driving south on Nebraska Street near 24th Street when their minivan collided with a minivan headed east on 24th Street.

Sioux City Police Officer Dudley Joines said Judy Cowley's foot had part of the vehicle roll on top of it, which caused her to be stuck. Sioux City Fire Rescue and police extricated Cowley and she was taken to a local hospital. She was released later that day. -- Mike Bell
