I'm completely tired of a city that cares nothing for its residents. This last snowstorm is another time the city has failed us on many levels. I am disabled, I suffer sight and mobility disability. I do not ask for special treatment, just the same. I have the right to be able to travel to the store or any place with safety. In this city, that is a myth.
I use a mobility chair, or power chair, to get places. Usually, that's not an issue - in the worst case, I hug the curb and use the roads I have helped pay to maintain. Well, if you cannot access the street signal light buttons due to plowed snow by the city or nothing being done to them, it is an issue.
So I say, why can't the city take care of their sidewalks like they require the citizens to do? Why the heck can't a city that is known for snow understand how to safely clean it up for all its citizens? - Leroy Everett, Sioux City
