DAKOTA CITY -- A South Sioux City man was sentenced to seven years in prison for an August stabbing.

Andrew Orellana on Monday was also ordered to pay the victim more than $4,200 for medical expenses.

Orellana in January pleaded no contest to felony second-degree assault in the case.

He was accused of stabbing a man multiple times outside a liquor store in the 1300 block of First Avenue in South Sioux City.

Orellana was arrested Aug. 21.

He has to serve as least six years in prison, prosecutors said.
