STORM LAKE, Iowa | Five Buena Vista University baseball players were named to either the first or second team All-Iowa Conference teams.
Senior pitcher Jake Lewis and junior shortstop Noah Paper were named to the first team. Seniors Dalton Mason, Kolby Hilgenberg and Kendall Candor were second team picks.
Lewis had a 4-2 pitching record in conference play with a 1.32 ERA that ranked fourth overall among all pitchers and his 47.2 innings pitched were the second-highest total.
Paper’s .367 average against conference opponents was a team-best and also ranked sixth in the IIAC. He led the team in hits (33) and runs scored (17) and committed just four errors in 120 attempts.
Candor, a Le Mars, Iowa, product, is a two-time all-conference selection for the Beavers. Mason led the IIAC with eight saves while Hilgenberg batted .315 in conference play with 10 multi-hit games.
