WICHITA, Kan. | Wichita State stayed unbeaten in the Missouri Valley Conference and won for the ninth state time downing Northern Iowa 57-47 in women's basketball action Friday.

Alex Harden scored 16 points and Jessica Diamond added 11 for the Shockers, 16-6 overall and 10-0 in the MVC. Northern Iowa (10-12 and 5-5 MVC) had a 23-22 lead at the half before being outscored 35-24 in the second 20 minutes.

Former Sioux City North prep athlete Jacqui Kalin scored a game-high 20 points and moved within 20 points of the UNI career scoring leader Amy Swisher, who had 1,851 points at Northern Iowa.

The Panthers’ Amber Kirschbaum also pulled down 11 rebounds to lead both teams.
