ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Paige O'Neal, a 5-7 point guard from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School, will continue her basketball career at Northwestern College.
O'Neal averaged 11 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals for an SB-L squad that tied for the Missouri River Activities Conference title and reached the Iowa Girls State Tournament. The Warriors finished 23-3.
O'Neal, an All-Metro honoree, holds school records for assists in a game and single season.
"We are excited to have Paige join our team," said Northwestern Coach Chris Yaw. "She is a great kid with a history of success both academically and on the basketball court. Paige has the ability to play at a fast pace, control the basketball and create easy shots for herself and her teammates."
O'Neal plans to major in exercise science and accounting at Northwestern.
