DES MOINES | Erich Erdman continues to shine offensively.
Erdman continued his current scoring tear, erupting for a game-high 29 as the 18th-ranked Briar Cliff men’s basketball team clipped Grand View 89-71 Saturday afternoon.
Erdman topped 20 points for the fourth time this season and has averaged 24 points in his last four games. Three of the game-high 11 field goals from the 5-11 junior guard from Forest City, Iowa, were good from three-point range.
Erdman also provided team-highs of seven rebounds and four assists for Briar Cliff (7-0), which rolled to a 43-27 halftime lead. Jay Wolfe contributed 18 points, six rebounds and three assists while Austin Roetman came off the bench for 11 points.
Briar Cliff will play a non-conference game Tuesday night at Madison, S.D., against Dakota State.
