SIOUX CITY -- Anna Brandt, a 5-4 guard from Lake Park, Iowa, will enroll at Morningside College this fall and play for the Mustangs' women's basketball team, Morningside coach Jamie Sale said Tuesday.
Brandt is a 2011 graduate of Harris-Lake Park High School, where she was a four-year starter. She earned first-team All-Cornbelt Conference and fifth-team Sioux City Journal All-Northwest Iowa honors this past season after she averaged 15.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
She received first-team All-Cornbelt Conference laurels as a junior, second-team All-Cornbelt Conference as a sophomore and honorable mention all-conference as a freshman.
Morningside posted a 29-6 record during the 2010-11 season for its eighth consecutive 20-win season and made its ninth consecutive appearance in the NAIA Division II National Tournament.
