SIOUX CENTER, Iowa | Morningside held off Dordt in the second half to pick up an 83-78 GPAC win here Wednesday.

The Mustangs trailed by five at halftime but hit 15 of 21 free throws in the second half and 23-for-31 in the game. The Defenders, who outrebounded Morningside 46-30, were 22 of 28 at the charity stripe.

The Mustangs, who hit 10 3-pointers, were led by Bryce Koch's 19 points Ryan Tegtmeier had 15 and Pierce Almond added 14. Brody Egger finished with 13 and Alex Borchers added 11 for the five Morningide (19-7, 9-6) players in double figures.

Dordt (13-15, 4-12) was led by Alec Henrickson's 25 points while Andrew O'Donnell had 16 points and nine rebounds. Marcus Winterfeld added 14 points.
