BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Morningside used a strong second half to post a big 75-57 men's basketball road victory over NAIA fourth-ranked Bellevue on Tuesday at Lozier Athletic Center.

The Mustangs, holding a narrow 34-31 halftime advantage, outscored the host Bruins 41-26 in the second 20 minutes to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Morningside went 15 of 34 from three-point range in the contest led by Pierce Almond who hit five of them.

Almond scored 19 points to pace three in double figures for the unbeaten Mustangs. Zach Imig had 15 points and nine assists and Brody Egger added 13.

Morningside shot 43 percent from the field in the victory and defensively held the Bruins to 36 percent shooting.
