BELLEVUE, Neb. | Sydney Hupp recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the 10th-ranked (NAIA) Morningside women’s basketball team defeated Bellevue 65-55 in a nonconference game at the Lozier Athletic Center here Tuesday.

Sierra Mitchell scored 16 points for Morningside (3-2) and Jordyn Moser dished out seven assists.

Elexis Martinez scored 17 points for Bellevue (3-3) and Ryleigh McCartney added 11. Caletria Curtis pulled down 11 rebounds.

Morningside led 31-17 at halftime and 48-32 through three quarters.

The Mustangs made 26 of 62 field goals (.419) while Bellevue made just 20 of 65 (.308).
