SIOUX FALLS | Wayne State overcame a six-point halftime deficit with a huge second half to down Sioux Falls 78-66 here Saturday.
The Wildcats outscored the Cougars 47-29 after the break to improve to 9-6 overall and 4-3 in Northern Sun action. Sioux Falls is now 8-4 and 4-3.
Kendall Jacks and Trevin Joseph Jr. combined to score 43 for Wayne State. Joseph Jr. led the Wildcat scoring attack with 22 points followed by Jacks with 21. WSC finished the game 31 of 60 from the field for 51.7 percent shooting.
Trevon Evans scored 22 points to lead the Cougars, who shot just 39 percent from the floor.
Wayne State will play again Sunday afternoon in a 4 p.m. contest at Southwest Minnesota State.
