Morgan Blumer had 10 points for Western Illinois (23-6, 13-3).
Abigail Fogg scored 20 points for USD (22-7, 11-5) and Jaycee Bradley added 18. Allison Arens had 14 points and Madison McKeever finished with 12.
Western Illinois made 20 of 20 free throws while USD made 12 of 12. Clemens made all 16 of her free throws for the Leathernecks, including 12 in the second half and eight in the fourth quarter.
Fourth-seeded USD plays next in the Summit League tournament against fifth-seeded Omaha on Sunday March 5. The Coyotes defeated Omaha in both regular season meetings 60-52 in Omaha and 91-56 in Vermillion.
