SIOUX CITY | The Sioux City Bandits announced the signing of four more players for the upcoming Champions Indoor Football league season.

Linebacker Marlon Lobban is set to return and has played with the Sioux City Bandits since 2012. During his career with the Bandits, he has racked up 341 tackles, 13 sacks, 34.5 tackles for loss, and five interceptions. Lobban took home the 2016 CIF Defensive Player of the Year honors last year and has been a fan favorite.

Defensive back Jon Smith is also set to return for another season. In his 76 games, he has racked up 417 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 42 passes defended, and 16 interceptions. Smith is second on the Bandits career list for unassisted tackles (244), third in interceptions (16) and third in total tackles (417).

Sioux City has also added two new players in wide receiver Maurice Young and Taylor Genuser.

Young, a wide receiver, started his arena football career in 2010. In his rookie campaign, he recorded 13 touchdowns and 523 receiving yards with the Seattle Timberwolves. The following year he added 10 touchdowns and 445 receiving yards to his professional resume. In 2013 he spent half the season in Cedar Rapids and finished in Orlando. While playing for the Dodge City Law last year, he led the team in touchdowns and receiving yards.

Genuser started his indoor career in 2014 with the Erie Explosion and then played for several teams before landing with the Iowa Barnstormers where he threw for 20 touchdowns and over 1,000 yards. The Duke City Gladiators brought him on board in 2016 where he again eclipsed the 20-touchdown and 1,000-yard mark.
