SIOUX CITY | The Sioux City Bandits will take on the Sioux City Stampede in a preseason game Feb. 24 at the Tyson Events Center.
The Stampede recently won the Midwest Football Alliance Championship and have won 18 of their last 19 games. They are 33-8 since their inaugural season in 2014.
"Our organization has a lot of respect for the Stampede and what they have accomplished in four short years," Bandits managing partner Bob Scott said. "We feel this is a game the fans of both teams will be excited to see."
"The Stampede will be going into the lion's den and playing a game that is out of our element," Stampede coach Jason Garnand said. "We understand that but we have the talent across the board that will allow us to compete."
The Bandits will release their 2018 schedule in the coming weeks.
