SOUTH SIOUX CITY | No. 5 South Sioux City steamrolled its competition for the second consecutive night to win the B-4 subdistrict girls basketball tournament at the Mini Dome Tuesday evening.
A night after an opening round win over Schuyler by 62 points, the Cardinals won the title with a 51-28 victory over Blair on Tuesday that advances them to the district final.
The eight sub-district champions advance to Saturday's district finals, with the next eight wild-card teams filling in the other spots.
McKenna Sims scored 16 points and Kyra Fischer added 13 for the Cardinals, now 19-4. Taryn Christensen pulled for eight rebounds to lead South Sioux City on the boards.
