SPENCER, Iowa -- JeMae Nichols scored 23 points and Lindsay Williams tossed in 20 as the No.4 (3A) Cherokee girls basketball team downed Spencer 101-68 on Tuesday in Spencer.
Kassidy Pingel finished with 13 points for Cherokee (17-1) and Paityn Hagberg added 11.
Keeley Petzenhauser had 22 points for Spencer (6-12) and Katie Moser added 15.
AKRON-WESTFIELD 46, HINTON 34: Danika Smith scored 17 points in an Akron-Westfield win over Hinton in a War Eagle Conference game on Tuesday in Hinton.
Brooke Koele finished with 11 points for Akron-Westfield (15-4).
Laura Brighton had nine points for Hinton (6-12).
Akron-Westfield led 17-14 with two minutes left in the second quarter. The Westerners then went on a 7-0 run to end the first half and took a 24-14 lead into halftime.
GEHLEN CATHOLIC 72, REMSEN ST MARY'S 48: Sydney Livermore scored 22 points to lead the Jays to a War Eagle Conference girls basketball win over the Hawks in a game played in Remsen, Iowa Tuesday.
Katelyn Langel also scored 16 points and Addison Weber 14 for Gehlen (12-6). Sydney Schorg scored 13 points to lead St. Mary's (2-17).
NEWELL-FONDA 62, GTRA 51: Olivia Larsen scored 13 points as the No. 4 (1A) and undefeated Newell-Fonda girls basketball team defeated GTRA on Tuesday in Graettinger.
Ella Larsen finished with 11 points for Newell-Fonda (18-0).
Madison Hough had 14 points for GTRA (14-7) and Tony Alesh added 11.
POCAHONTAS 62, EAST SAC 44: Pocahontas got 19 points and eight rebounds from both Delaney Ehn and Kaylee Shivers in the victory on Tuesday. Ehn added five assists and four steals.
East Sac was paced by Taylor Houska's 21 points.
DENISON-SCHLESWIG 58, SERGEANT BLUFF-LUTON 57: Alex Mohr scored 18 points to lead the No. 9 Monrachs to an overtime win over the No. 10 Warriors in a non-conference girls basketball matchup of Class 4A squads Tuesday night in Denison, Iowa.
Sarah Heilesen also scored 13 points for Denison-Schleswig (14-4). The Monrach rallied from a 26-18 halftime deficit to tie the score at 37-37 after three quarters.
Anna Lucas scored 21 points for a game-high to lead SB-L (11-6) while Abby Wisecup was also in double figures for the Warriors with 14.
SHELDON 70, SIBLEY-OCHEYDAN 35: Freshman Brooklyn Grady scored 22 points to lead the way as the Orabs doubled up the scored on the Generals in a Siouxland Conference girls basketball game played in Sheldon, Iowa Tuesday.
Hannah Van Meeteren also pulled down 12 rebounds and Emily Meyer chipped in 10 points for Sheldon (4-15).
SOUTH O’BRIEN 50, MMCRU 27: Hannah Dau scored 16 points and Kaylee Jacobs tossed in 13 as the South O’Brien girls basketball team improved to 13-5 with a 50-27 win over MMCRU on Tuesday in Paullina.
Madison Treinen led MMCRU (8-11) with nine points.
OKOBOJI 46, MOC-FLOYD VALLEY 43: Kallyn Stumbo scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Pioneers to a Siouxland Conference girls basketball win over the Dutch in a game played in Milford, Iowa Tuesday.
Okoboji improved to 15-4 overall and 12-4 in the Siouxland Conference. MOC-Floyd Valley (8-11) got 13 points from Jazlin DeHaan.
LENNOX 42, ELK POINT-JEFFERSON 32: Riley Peters scored 15 points, Madysen Vlastuin had 11 and Rianna Fillipi added 11 for Lennox on Tuesday.
