WAYNE, Neb. | Hartington Cedar Catholic edged West Point-Beemer 48-46 in a semifinal game at the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout held at Wayne State College Friday.

Riley Arens scored 15 points and Mathheew Becker 13 to pace the Trojans (6-2). Cedar Catholic will take on Wayne in the tournament final at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Blake Anderson scored a game-high 19 points to lead West Point-Beemer (4-4).

WAYNE 60, ARLINGTON 48: Jack Evetovich scored 21 points to lead the Blue Devils to a boys basketball win in the semifinal of the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout played in Wayne, Nebraska Friday. Shea Sweatland also scored 12 points, Mason Lee 12 and Ryan Jaizen 11 for Wayne (4-5). Jackson Borgman had a game-high 25 points for Arlington (3-6).

NORFOLK CATHOLIC 62, PENDER 41: Norfolk Catholic raced out to a 42-23 halftime advantage and cruised to victory on Friday.

Norfolk Catholic (1-7) was led by Andrew Flec who had 14 points while Ethan Piper had 12 in the consolation semifinal win.

Pender (4-5) was paced by Sam Mailloux's 18 points.

LAREL-CONCORD-COLERIDGE 54, GORDON-RUSHVILLE 49: LCC rallied from a 37-29 deficit to start the fourth quarter to get the win in the consolation semifinal tilt.

Ty Erwin had 17 points and Izac Reifenrath 16 for LCC (8-2). Noah Schtte had 12 points.

Gordon-Rushville (7-2) got 17 points from Dylan Schwarting.

PONCA 48, PIERCE 31: Top-ranked Indians held down Pierce on the offensive end to secure the 48-31 victory on Friday at the Elkhorn tournament.

Connor Day was the only player in double figures for Ponca as he had 10 for Ponca as it improved to 9-0.


WAYNE 46. ARLINGTON 30: Kylie Hammer scored 14 points and Frankie Klausen 12 as the Blue Devils claimed a girls basketball win in the semifinals of the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout Friday in Wayne, Nebraska.

Wayne (8-3) will face Hartington Cedar Catholic in the tournament final Saturday at 7 p.m. Maggie Schmidt had eight points to lead Arlington (6-3).

HARTINGTON CEDAR CATHOLIC 53, NORFOLK CATHOLIC 45: Anna Reifenrath scored 15 points to lead the Trojans to a girls basketball win over Norfolk Catholic in the semifinals of the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout in Wayne, Nebraska Friday.

Mallorie Steffen also scored 10 points for Cedar Catholic (7-1). Hanna Neesen had 12 points to pace Norfolk Catholic (3-6).

GORDON-RUSHVILLE 51, LAUREL-CONCORD-COLERIDGE 40: Gordon-Rushville outscored LCC 38-23 in the second half to reach the consolation final on Friday.

Jacobie Knight had 24 points to pace Gordon-Rushville (5-4) while Sierra Garrett added 12 points.

LCC (4-6) got 14 points from Makayla Foresberg and 12 from Bryn Schutte.

WEST POINT-BEEMER 46, PENDER 44: Brittney Hinkel had 12 points and Megan Groth added 11 to clip Pender on Friday.

West Point-Beemer (5-4) jumped out to an 11-5 lead after the first quarter.

Pender (3-8) was led by Ashley Ostrand's 23 points as they dropped the consolation semifinal game.

HARTINGTON CEDAR CATHOLIC 53, NORFOLK CATHOLIC 45: Cedar Catholic got 15 points from Anna Reifenrath and 10 from Mallorie Steffen to get the win Friday.

Norfolk was led by Hanna Neesen's 12 points.
