HULL, Iowa | Ben Granstra's lay up with six second left helped Hull Western Christian complete a rally and down Spirit Lake 61-60 in a Lakes Conference boys basketball game Tuesday.
Jacob Vis scored 21 points to pace the Wolfpack, who trailed by seven points with three minutes left in regulation before pulling out the win. Caleb Harmsen also scored 13 points while Granstra added a dozen for Western Christian, which was playing in its season opener.
Alex Van Dyke had a game-high 26 points while Kip Hurd and Owen Coburn both had 11 for Spirit Lake (2-1).
RIDGE VIEW 53, RIVER VALLEY 34: Jaxson Franken tallied 24 points as Ridge View downed River Valley in a Western Valley Conference basketball game on Tuesday.
Jacob Tokheim added 18 points for the Raptors (1-2).
Tyler Towne paced River Valley with 10 points.
SOUTH O’BRIEN 70, HARRIS-LAKE PARK 54: Peyton Brasser scored 26 points as the South O’Brien boys basketball team defeated Harris-Lake Park 70-54 in a War Eagle Conference game on Tuesday in Paullina.
Carson Louscher and Jackson Louscher both had 19 points for South O’Brien (2-2, 1-0).
Bret Sohn finished with 22 points for HLP (0-3, 0-1) and Isaac Ihnen added 10.
South O’Brien led 32-29 at halftime, then outscored the Wolves 18-8 in the third quarter to take a 50-37 lead.
BOYER VALLEY 80, CAM 56: Cody Berens had 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a win in a boys basketball game played in Dunlap, Iowa Tuesday.
Joe Weber also scored 24 points and had eight assists while Chad Klein had 16 points and seven assists for Boyer Valley (2-1). Thomas Hensley scored a game-high 28 to lead CAM.
UNITY CHRISTIAN 62, GEHLEN CATHOLIC 52: Adam Viet scored 13 points as the Unity Christian boys basketball team defeated Gehlen Catholic 62-52 in a War Eagle Conference game on Tuesday in Orange City.
Sam Byker finished with 12 points for the Knights (2-1, 1-0).
Cole Wiltgen scored 17 points for Gehlen Catholic (2-1, 0-1), Jacob Nemmers added 12 and Brady Livermore finished with 10.
SHELDON 53, ROCK VALLEY 46: Ryan Van Marel had 14 points and Jaden Kleinhesselink 13 to lead the Orabs to a win over the Rockets in a Siouxland Conference game played in Sheldon, Iowa Tuesday.
Cade Moser had 14 for Rock Valley (1-2). Sheldon is now 3-1.

Jacob Kroese had 14 points for HMS (1-1). Cade Schiphoff finished with 13 points and Seth Morphew added 10.
John Galm led Clay Central-Everly (0-3) with 22 points.
LAWTON-BRONSON 54, WOODBURY CENTRAL 49: Lawton-Bronson connected on five of six free throws in the closing seconds to edge Woodbury Central, 54-49, in a Western Valley Conference boys' basketball clash at Moville on Tuesday night.
After Wildcat Christopher Mandl knotted the score at 49-49, sophomore Ben Thelander sank two charity tosses to give the visitors a 2-point lead with 50 seconds left.
Following a Woodbury Central turnover on the ensuing possession, senior Ethan Heiss connected on one free throw for a 3-point edge.
Woodbury Central turned the ball over again, setting up an Eagles possession that ended with junior Max Fluent at the line with 10 seconds left, presented with a chance to put the game out of reach. Fluent made both to seal the 54-49 victory.
Thelander, who drained six of seven at the line, scored a game-high 14 points for the Coach Adam Benson's team, which improved to 2-2 on the season, 2-0 in the Western Valley.
Mandl and senior classmate Dustin Widman shared scoring honors for Coach Trevor Alfredson's club, both notching 12 points in a setback that dropped WC to 2-2 on the season, 1-1 in loop action.
TRINITY CHRISTIAN 66, MMCRU 53: Shane Kooima had 23 points to lead the Tigers to a win over the Royals in a boys basketball game played in Remsen, Iowa Tuesday. Chris Schmid had 16 points to lead MMCRU (0-3).
WEST MONONA 54, SIOUXLAND CHRISTIAN 49: Gage Rotnicke scored 18 points and Calvin Coffman added 16 as West Monona earned a Western Valley Conference win over Siouxland Christian.
Jonah DeRoos paced Siouxland Christian with 22 points while Preston Moss added 12.
POCAHONTAS 74, NEWELL-FONDA 52: Jace Davidson led four in double figures with 21 points as Pocahontas earned a Twin Lakes Conference win over Newell-Fonda.
Cameron Callion added 14 points while Braden Ehn and Nathan Alijets chipped in 12 apiece for the Indians.
Bryce Coppock led Newell-Fonda with 21 points and Aden Mahler had 13.
