PAULLINA, Iowa -- Peyton Brasser scored 27 points to lead the Wolverines to a season-opening win over the Blackhawks in a non-conference boys basketball game played in Paullina, Iowa Tuesday.

Carson Louscher also had 20 points and and Jackson Louscher 10 for South O'Brien. Aiden Brock had 14 points and and Braden Vonk 10 to lead Hinton.

IKM-MANNING 59, AUDOBON 53: Alex Lingle scored 35 points to lead the Wolves to a Western Iowa Conference boys basketball win over the Wheelers Tuesday in Manning, Iowa.

Jared Johnson also added 14 for IKM-Manning, which was playing its season opener. Josh Lange had 12 points to lead Audubon (1-1).

SHELDON 75, BOYDEN-HULL 44: Ryan Van Marel scored 16 points as the Sheldon boys basketball team defeated Boyden-Hull 75-44 on Tuesday in Sheldon.

Jaden Kleinhesselink had 15 points for Sheldon (1-0) and Kyle Boerhave added 12.

Zach Noble scored 15 points for Boyden-Hull (0-1).

WEST SIOUX 63, HMS 27: Jake Lynott scored 16 points as the West Sioux boys basketball team opened its 2017-18 season with a 63-27 win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on Tuesday in Hartley.

Hunter Dekkers had 15 points for West Sioux (1-0).

Ivan Abonce and Reece Petersen both scored seven points for HMS (0-1).

AKRON-WESTFIELD 78, MMCRU 63: Nick Jacobs and Connor Anderson combined to score 63 points to lead the Westerners to a win over the Royals in a season-opening boys basketball game played Tuesday in Akron, Iowa.

Jacobs had 33 and Anderson 30 to lead the way. Chris Schmid had 29 points to lead MMCRU while Hunter Tentinger chipped in with 14 and Andrew Prescott had 10.

REMSEN ST. MARY'S 83, CLAY CENTRAL-EVERLY 40: Nicholas Ruden and Spencer Schorge scored 22 points apiece to lead the Hawks to a win over the Mavericks in a season-opening boys basketball game played in Remsen, Iowa Tuesday.

Carter Kuchel and Derrick Schorg also scored 11 points for Remsen St. Mary's. John Glam had 13 points and Karen Khenkitisak 10 for CC-E.

ESTHERVILLE-LINCOLN CENTRAL 53, SIOUX CENTRAL 42: The Midgets moved to 2-0 with a win in a boys basketball game played in Sioux Rapids, Iowa Tuesday. Jake Hanson had 11 points for Sioux Central.

OA-BCIG 62, BOYER VALLEY 57: Kaden Ludwig had 17 points was among four Falcons to score in double digits as they downed the Bulldogs in a non-conference boys basketball game played in Dunlap, Iowa Tuesday.

Landan Ray also added 14 points, Ryan Bauman 13 and Ty Warnke 12 for OA-BCIG. Joe Weber had a game-high 30 points for Boyer Valley. It was the season opener for each team.

Late Monday

MVAOCOU 59, MISSOURI VALLEY 41: Colby Seuntjens scored 19 points as MVAOCOU opened the season with a 59-41 win over Missouri Valley on Monday.

Ely Fundermann had 17 points and Connor Beeck 15 for the Rams.

Dalton Anderson led Missouri Valley with 16 points, Wyatt Love added 12.
