MADISON, S.D. | Peyton Wingert hit a lay up with 12 seconds left in regulation to give Dakota Valley the first lead of the game and Dakota Valley went on to defeat Clark/Willow Lake 46-45 in a girls basketball game at the Dakota XII/NEC Clash Saturday.

Wingert had a game-high 16 points to lead the Panthers (13-3). Madisyn Heeren also chipped in nine points and Rylee Rosenquist eight for Dakota Valley, which rallied after trailing 26-16 at the half. Heeren had a dozen rebounds to lead the Panthers and pulled down a big carom off a missed shot by the Cyclones in the closing seconds to help secure the win.

Janae Kolden scored 13 points for Clark/Willow Lake, now 7-8.
